Lee Sung-kyung Connects With Chinese Fans on First Solo Fanmeeting Run
Actor Lee Sung-kyung has completed her first solo fanmeeting tour in China. The run marks her first standalone event series in the country since her debut, held in response to steady demand from local fans.
The tour, titled "2026 LEE SUNG KYOUNG FANMEETING [Dong Dong, Bao Bei Men]," opened in Chengdu in May, followed by Wuhan in June and Qingdao in July. Each stop rolled through a mix of talk segments, Q&A, Chinese pronunciation games and fan-participation events, with Lee sharing behind-the-scenes stories from her daily life and recent projects.
One segment drew an especially strong reaction. Lee was given five minutes to nail the tones of Chinese phrases, with any remaining time turned into a photo session for fans. Cheers broke out each time she cleared the mission with clean pronunciation. Wearing chain accessories, face chains and headbands throughout the shows, she posed for a steady stream of camera flashes.
"Every time I received the love and fanmeeting requests Chinese fans kept sending, I really wanted to meet them in person and say thank you," Lee said. "Through this tour I was finally able to meet the Chinese ban-jjak-i, our fan nickname, and I was truly happy. Even though it was our first time meeting, they welcomed me so warmly that I made memories I won't forget. I'll come back soon in even better form so we can make more memories together."
Lee plans to continue meeting international fans through further stops on her Asia tour.
