'A Shop for Killers' Season 2: Kim Hye-jun's Ji-an Fights Back on Disney+

Actor Kim Hye-jun is stepping up.

The Disney+ original series "A Shop for Killers Season 2" premieres on July 22. The stylish action series follows Ji-an, who has taken over as the new head of the shop after a brutal handover, as she teams with the returning Jin-man (played by Lee Dong-wook) to launch a full counterattack against the global forces of Babylon. Kim Hye-jun plays Jeong Ji-an, the shop's new owner.

The biggest point of interest in Season 2 is how Jeong Ji-an changes. In Season 1, she was learning how to survive in the middle of chaos and fear. This time, viewers see the second chapter of a Ji-an who has grown up. She faces danger head-on and starts to shape her own fate.

The new Ji-an is no longer someone who needs protection. She becomes a character who breaks through situations on her own terms. Drawing on the survival instincts she picked up through hardship after hardship, she runs the shop in place of her uncle.

Along the way, Kim Hye-jun will show a wider range of action and deeper emotional work. Expect heavy gunplay and hand-to-hand fight scenes, along with a careful look at the storm inside her character during extreme moments. The tighter the pressure, the stronger Ji-an becomes, and Kim is set to give that arc real depth. Two years after her first turn in the role, she is signaling another strong showing in the genre space with an upgraded Jeong Ji-an.

"A Shop for Killers Season 2" launches on Disney+ on July 22 with the first two episodes. New episodes will follow every Wednesday, two at a time, for a total of eight.
