Kwak Dong-yeon will join the army in August

Actor Kwak Dong-yeon is set to begin his mandatory military service. He will enlist on Aug. 25.

Born in 1997, Kwak is 30 this year. He recently received his enlistment notice and will serve as an active-duty soldier. His discharge is scheduled for February 2028.

Because of his enlistment, actor Ko Kyoung-pyo has joined tvN's variety show "Bogum Magical" Season 2 as a new member. Kwak previously appeared on the show alongside Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang-yi.

Kwak also made a special appearance as the Crown Prince in the Netflix series "The East Palace," which was released on the 17th.
