Yang Se-jong Balances Grit and Comedy in tvN Drama 'Spooky Romance'

Actor Yang Se-jong is pulling viewers deeper into tvN's new weekend drama "Spooky Romance."

In the series, Yang Se-jong moves between an enemies-to-lovers romance, a sharp working prosecutor, and moments of comic surprise, shaping the role in his own way.

He plays Ma Kang-wook, an ace prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office driven by a strong sense of justice. His steady gaze and firm delivery are enough on their own to sell the character's upright nature. Beyond his tight investigative instincts, he even picks up a criminal clue from a stranger he happens to run into at a convenience store.

At the same time, he butts heads with Cheon Yeo-ri, played by Park Eun-bin, at every crime scene, opening the door to the drama's enemies-to-lovers arc. The two mistake each other for the culprit at a body-dump site and end up in a physical scuffle. Later, they wake up in the same suite bed together. The story keeps swinging between moments no one can predict.

tvN's "Spooky Romance" airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. KST.
