aespa's NingNing Warns Trolls: "Get Ready to Be Sued"

aespa's NingNing has publicly named the accounts behind malicious online posts for the first time since her debut, signaling a harder line against internet harassment.

On July 22, NingNing called out two accounts on the Chinese social media platform Weibo that had reportedly been posting malicious content about her. "Get ready to be sued," she wrote.

She added that the accounts had been going after more than just her. "These people have kept attacking me, my family, and my fans," she said. "I hope people can use the internet in a healthy way." She warned that she would take legal action if the same thing happened again.

It is the first time NingNing has publicly identified malicious posters and issued a direct warning since she debuted with aespa in 2020. The two accounts she named have since been permanently suspended for violating Weibo's operating policies, according to reports.
