Gong Hyo-jin's 'A Bona Fide Killer' Drops New Teaser Ahead of MBC Premiere

Actress Gong Hyo-jin is stepping back into an MBC drama for the first time in 15 years, this time as a working mom hiding a dangerous second life.

MBC's new drama "A Bona Fide Killer" released its third teaser ahead of its premiere on the 31st at 9:50 p.m. KST. The series follows a working mother whose day job is the most dangerous in the world.

Gong Hyo-jin previously led MBC's 2011 hit "The Greatest Love," which peaked at a 21 percent viewership rating. Whether she can carry that momentum into her long-awaited return to the network is one of the drama's biggest storylines.

The teaser opens with Yu Bo-na, played by Gong Hyo-jin, heading back to the office. When a neighbor asks, "Didn't you say your daughter-in-law works at a big company?" her mother-in-law Ok Seon-ja, played by Cha Mi-kyung, answers simply, "Electric fans." The mood shifts fast. "Sales Team 3 carefully picks out criminals and takes them out," a voice explains, as the team's real targets flash on screen. The office workers are not what they seem.

Reporter Kwon Tae-seong, played by Jung Jun-won, senses something is off. "Doesn't this feel strange? Like a scenario someone planned from the start," he says. From there, the teaser moves into the team's field operations. Kim Bong-pal, played by Sung Dong-il, handles staged accidents. Ki Yeong-do, played by Moo Jin-sung, is the genius hacker. Bong Tae-min, played by Kim Nam-hee, manages weapons. Ko Yeong-gap, played by Heo Jae-ho, covers medical incidents.

In between, the team looks like any other set of coworkers. They play games at a company workshop and squeeze into a crowded office elevator. Then Bong Tae-min says, "Client meeting, start," and the tone flips again. Yu Bo-na, Kim Bong-pal and Yang Ye-sol, played by Kim Ga-hee, move in on their targets and take them down.

The final stretch of the teaser shows more of the team at work, including a fall at a construction site and a car explosion. Their rule is spelled out in one line: the job exists only to make someone disappear from this world. Kim Bong-pal closes it out with, "Let's get this meeting started," as Yu Bo-na appears with a sniper rifle alongside rookie member Oh Hyeon-nam, played by YULLIA, and the rest of Sales Team 3.

"A Bona Fide Killer" is based on the Kakao Webtoon of the same name. It premieres on the 31st at 9:50 p.m. KST.
