ENHYPEN Says Twilight Made Their Vampire Concept Easier to Understand

ENHYPEN recently reflected on the lasting influence of *Twilight* and the appeal of vampire storytelling during the "Bite Me: Calling All Vampires" panel held on July 23 at San Diego Comic-Con.

Joined by *Twilight* director Catherine Hardwicke and cast members Peter Facinelli and Ashley Greene, the group discussed how their DARK MOON universe fits into the broader evolution of vampire stories across film, television, music, and webtoons.

The members shared that they had all grown up watching *Twilight*, crediting the franchise with bringing vampires to a wider mainstream audience. They also explained that the familiarity of vampire lore allows audiences to immediately understand ENHYPEN's concepts without requiring extensive explanations.

"In our music videos, we suddenly transform into bats or throw knives," Sunghoon said. "Because people already know we're vampires, we don't have to explain every single detail, and that's a huge advantage."

Sunoo also expressed his enthusiasm for the franchise, saying, "I really, really love *Twilight*," while seated alongside members of the film's cast.

One of the panel's lighter and most memorable moments came when ENHYPEN introduced the *Twilight* guests to K-pop light sticks and demonstrated how they are used at concerts. Jake jokingly suggested that the franchise should have one of its own, saying, "I think we need a *Twilight* light stick!"

The discussion also explored ENHYPEN's DARK MOON universe, including its webtoon and animated series. The members briefly explained how the storyline connects to the group's music and albums, including *DARK BLOOD* and its title track, "Bite Me," further positioning ENHYPEN as part of the multimedia expansion of vampire mythology.

ENHYPEN's appearance at San Diego Comic-Con represents a further expansion of K-pop into comic-centered storytelling through webtoons and concept-driven lore. The appearance also highlights the group's strategy of connecting music with an evolving fictional universe, giving fans more ways to engage with ENHYPEN's vampire narrative across both its songs and webtoon.
