Ji Sung Exposes Heating Fee Scandal in JTBC Drama 'The Apartment Job'

Actor Ji Sung is set to blow the whistle on a heating fee scandal in the JTBC drama "The Apartment Job" as the series looks to extend its ratings streak. The fifth and sixth episodes air on the 25th and 26th, with the show already sitting at the top of the weekend non-terrestrial ratings.

In the upcoming episodes of "The Apartment Job" Park Hae-gang, played by Ji Sung, stands before residents in the apartment plaza and lays out allegations of heating fee corruption. After confirming that certain households have been exempt from heating charges for an extended period, he brings the findings directly to the community.

Preview stills show Park arriving at the plaza carrying a flag. He picks up a megaphone and addresses the crowd, laying out the case against the alleged scheme.

Earlier episodes followed Park as he tackled a string of everyday problems inside the complex, from illegal parking and delivery chaos to the assault of a security guard and the relocation of a nearby subway exit. He then moved up from building representative to chair of the residents' council, winning the election that put him at the center of a plan involving 17.8 billion won.

The question now is whether Park can use the heating fee case to root out further corruption inside the complex and strengthen his position as council chair. On set, Ji Sung reportedly led the mood during the flag-and-megaphone scene, according to the production.

"The Apartment Job" hit a new series high with a 7.1 percent rating in its fourth episode. It has continued to lead all non-terrestrial weekend programs in the ratings.

Episode 5 of "The Apartment Job" airs on the 25th at 10:40 p.m. KST, and Episode 6 airs on the 26th at 10:30 p.m. KST.
