SHINee's TAEMIN Sets Solo Comeback and 2026-27 World Tour
SHINee member and solo artist TAEMIN is heading back to fans with a new album and a global tour. The singer confirmed both projects on July 24 through his official social media.
TAEMIN shared the poster for his new album "PHASE 1 : SOFT VIOLENCE" along with a teaser poster for the "2026-27 TAEMIN WORLD TOUR [LiMiNaL]." The album is set for release on August 31 at 6 p.m. KST.
The comeback rollout began a day earlier. On July 23, TAEMIN posted a "This is" video to signal his return. The album poster that followed showed sugar cubes and ants alongside the phrase "PHASE 1 : SOFT VIOLENCE," and fans have been trading theories about what the imagery might mean.
After the album drops, TAEMIN will meet global fans on the "LiMiNaL" world tour. The teaser poster released the same day shows the singer's face partly visible through a narrow opening. The tour title comes from the Latin word "Limen," meaning boundary or threshold, and points to the start of a new chapter.
TAEMIN has been building steady momentum on the international festival circuit. Earlier this year, he became the first Korean male solo artist to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States. He also took the stage at BST Hyde Park in the United Kingdom.
