"Without Girls' Generation, I wouldn't be who I am today," said Shuaibo of K-pop boy group AHOF.

Shuaibo and fellow member Daisuke recently spoke with K-POPIT at F&F Entertainment's headquarters about the K-pop groups that inspired them to become idols.

Shuaibo, who is from China, has been a Girls' Generation fan since childhood. He recalled meeting member Sooyoung in person and taking a photo with her. The encounter moved him to tears.

Asked why he cried, he replied, "I was so moved."

Shuaibo previously appeared on "Boys Planet," a survival show on South Korean music channel Mnet. After the show, he continued pursuing his goal of debuting in Korea. He tried again and eventually debuted as a member of AHOF.

For Daisuke, who is from Japan, NCT 127 helped spark his dream of becoming an idol.

"When I took my first dance lesson, I didn't know much about K-pop," he recalled. "The song I learned to dance to was NCT 127's '0 Mile.'"

"BTS was also really famous in Japan at the time," he continued. "That's how I got into K-pop, and I especially loved NCT. I wanted to become an idol like them."

Daisuke said he had attended NCT concerts several times as a fan before making his own debut.

Now both members are performing as the K-pop idols they once dreamed of becoming. Daisuke also reflected on performing in Osaka and Tokyo during AHOF's first Asia tour.

"I was really happy to perform with the members near my hometown. It was also great to meet so many Japanese fans," he said. "I saw my parents, too. A lot of thoughts went through my head, and I felt emotional."

"I hope I can perform in Japan more often in the future," he added.

AHOF is a nine-member boy group formed in January 2025 through the SBS survival show "Universe League." The group debuted that July and has since released three EPs. It recently wrapped up promotions for its third EP, "RUN TO YOU," and completed its first Asia tour.
