Actor So Ji-sub gifted gold to the cast and crew of the SBS drama "Manager Kim" to mark the end of filming.

On July 26, several staff members shared photos on social media of the gold pieces they had received. Each gift was presented in an individual case alongside a handwritten note from the actor.

"Working on this project brought me great emotion and happiness," So wrote, thanking the team for "quietly supporting 'Manager Kim' from your respective positions."

It is not the first time So has celebrated the completion of a project with such a gift. After wrapping the Netflix series "Mercy for None" last year, he reportedly gave each crew member one don of gold, a traditional Korean unit equivalent to about 3.75 grams.

So previously explained that he has maintained the tradition since he began taking on leading roles.

"Ever since I started playing lead roles, I have always prepared gifts," he said. "This time was no different. I gave them to nearly everyone, including the actors, managers and staff."

He added, "It is my way of thanking everyone for helping the shoot end safely. I am only able to be here because they are here. Gold cannot be provided through sponsorship, so I prepared it sincerely. I thought they could sell it and use the money someday if they fell on hard times."

Through his agency 51K, So also shared a message marking the end of filming.

"The 'Manager Kim' we have today was only possible because of the staff members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, away from the spotlight," he said. "I would also like to sincerely thank my fellow actors, who worked in perfect harmony with me throughout the project."
