Roh Yoon-seo Bonds With Young Co-Star Choi So-yul on Set of Netflix's 'Dongkung'
Child actress Choi So-yul's mother is opening up about her family's fondness for actress Roh Yoon-seo. On social media, she shared a behind-the-scenes photo taken with Roh on the set of the upcoming Netflix series "Dongkung."
In the photo, Roh wraps her arm around young Choi So-yul as the two smile side by side for the camera. Both are dressed casually in hoodies, and the resemblance in their vibe gives them the easy chemistry of real-life sisters.
Choi plays the younger version of Roh's character, known as "young Saenggang," in "Dongkung." Her mother wrote that the role felt especially meaningful after a previous collaboration. "Following 'Crash Course in Romance,' getting to play the younger version again in 'Dongkung' was such an honor and joy for both So-yul and me," she wrote, adding that Roh is "So-yul's absolute favorite actress."
She also recalled seeing Roh outside the set. "Beyond the set, we ran into her at the Baeksang Arts Awards and the premiere of 'No Other Choice,' and every time she greeted us so warmly. It really moved me." She called it "a memory of that time when it felt special and lovely to see her so often."
She closed the post with a plug for the show, telling followers to "go watch the Saenggangs on Netflix's 'Dongkung'."
The exchange offers a small window into the kind of on-set relationships that shape a young actor's career, and into how quickly a co-star can become a role model for the child performers coming up behind them.
