Byeon Woo-seok's Quiet Donation Helps Sick Child at Seoul Care Home
Actor Byeon Woo-seok's quiet history of donating to sick children has surfaced again, this time through a fan's message online.
On August 5, Byeon Woo-seok posted several brand ambassador photos to his personal channel without a caption. In the comments, Lee Ae-young, a cast member of the Netflix variety show "Yoo Jae-suk Camp," shared a message she wanted him to see.
"Team Leader Byeon, I have news I wanted to pass along," she wrote. "Thanks to your donation for patient care, a child at the children's care facility in Yongsan district where I used to work was able to receive treatment safely."
She continued, "It's incredible and moving to see your warmth reach a place I care about so deeply. Thank you and I truly respect you for becoming such a source of hope for one child. I'll be cheering you on from the heart. I hope this message reaches you."
Byeon Woo-seok replied to the comment, calling it "truly happy news."
The actor has built a steady record of giving to pediatric patients. In 2024, he donated 300 million won to Severance Hospital for the treatment of young patients. Last year, he donated all of his merchandise proceeds to a pediatric cancer foundation. On January 1 of this year, he added another 100 million won for the treatment of children and adolescent patients.
Byeon Woo-seok is currently filming the Netflix series "Solo Leveling."
