K-pop girl group aespa has taken the No. 1 spot on the global K-pop power rankings as it prepares for its first solo concert at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome and the opening of a new world tour.

The group posted a Global Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 72.4, according to the K-POPIT BOARD, a K-pop analytics dashboard that tracks global streaming, social media activity, video consumption, fandom response, and media exposure.

The group's rise to the top of the global index appears to be driven by fan anticipation for its upcoming tour. aespa will hold "2026-27 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK : COMPLaeXITY" at Gocheok Sky Dome on Aug. 7 and 8. The Seoul shows mark the group's first solo concert at the venue and the starting point of a world tour that will run across 25 regions in North America, South America, and Europe.

Fandom activity has surged ahead of the tour opener. The Fandom Health Index (FHI) reached 72.6, while the Media Attention Score (MAS) climbed to 98.5. Fans have been closely watching for details on the set list, stage design, and the new narrative universe that begins with aespa's second studio album, "LEMONADE," fueling wider online conversation.

Access to the concerts has also been expanded. The show will be screened via live viewing at 146 theaters across 11 regions worldwide, including South Korea. The Aug. 8 show will stream online through Beyond LIVE and the fan platform Weverse. The setup allows global fans to take part in the tour launch without traveling to Gocheok Sky Dome.

The concert is built around the keyword "CRACK" and organized into five sections. The show extends the new storyline that began with "LEMONADE," with clues placed throughout the stage for fans to follow. The design ties the music and the storyline together as performance content, aiming to deepen fandom engagement.

Widening the show's global reach while expanding the content around it is expected to help aespa hold on to its current standing on the global charts. With the tour moving from Seoul through 25 regions in North America, South America, and Europe, each stop offers a chance to renew local fan interest as the run continues.

Not every metric moved in the same direction. The group's global YouTube figures fell 4 percent, and its D-layer score dropped 55 percent. Even so, its climb to No. 1 on the global rankings carries weight because the buzz around aespa reflects focused fan attention on a specific event, the tour launch, rather than a broader spike in casual content consumption.

Album and merchandise purchases, along with concert attendance, are ultimately driven by a steady core fandom. The fact that this kind of attention is holding, rather than short-lived viral interest, points to a stronger base for the tour's commercial performance.

aespa will open the tour with its Seoul shows before continuing across 25 regions in North America, South America, and Europe. Whether the anticipation peaking at Gocheok Sky Dome carries into content consumption and fandom activity once the tour is on the road will be the next test.
