SEVENTEEN's Dino Takes Over Music Shows as Alter Ego P.CHEOL-IN

SEVENTEEN's Dino is turning music shows into a personal playground through his alter ego, P.CHEOL-IN.

The youngest member of the K-pop group brought the character to television this week with two very different stages built around his new solo release.

Dino appeared on Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 6th, performing the title track "Nolaboseh (prod. Hitchhiker)" and the B-side "There Is No Painless Farewell (narr. Lee Moon-sae)" from P.CHEOL-IN's first mini album. Moving between the two songs, he leaned into opposite moods and showed the range of an all-around performer.

The "Nolaboseh (prod. Hitchhiker)" stage mixed P.CHEOL-IN's playful side with a distinctly Korean sense of celebration and a sleek EDM trap sound. Dancers moved in circles like a traditional ganggangsullae folk dance before dropping into heavy trap beats, pulling viewers into the party. Dino shifted between rap, vocals, and choreography, showing full command of the stage.

"There Is No Painless Farewell (narr. Lee Moon-sae)" flipped the mood. Here, Dino's vocals and detailed expression took center stage, and his softer, more emotional delivery matched the romantic feel of city pop.

The mini album, "Gil BOARD," moves through several genres while keeping P.CHEOL-IN's tone at the center. It has charted in the upper ranks of major album charts in South Korea, China, and Japan. The title track also entered the Worldwide iTunes Song chart shortly after release. A dance challenge based on the chorus, in which participants shake one leg to the beat, has spread online, followed by a freestyle "makchum" challenge where fans show off their own moves.

P.CHEOL-IN's run continues through the weekend. Dino will perform on KBS2's "Music Bank" on the 7th, MBC's "Show! Music Core" on the 8th, and "SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer" on the 9th. From the 21st to the 23rd, he will hold "2026 Dino X P.CHEOL-IN [Gil BOARD SHOW]" at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa district, Seoul, bringing both his main identity and his alter ego to the same stage. Tickets sold out the day the fan club pre-sale opened, a sign of how closely fans are watching the project.
