K-POP group SEVENTEEN has set a new benchmark in the Japanese market. The group's Japanese best album, "ALWAYS YOURS," has surpassed one million cumulative shipments, earning a Million certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

According to the RIAJ on Monday, "ALWAYS YOURS" crossed the one million mark in July. The RIAJ certifies albums by cumulative shipments in tiers: Gold (100,000), Platinum (250,000), Double Platinum (500,000), Triple Platinum (750,000), and Million (1,000,000).

The album is SEVENTEEN's fourth Million certification in Japan, following the group's first Japanese EP "DREAM," 10th mini album "FML," and 11th mini album "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN." HYBE Japan said the total is the most ever for a K-pop artist. SEVENTEEN has also previously moved more than one million copies of a Korean-language album released after 2000 within the Japanese market.

Released in 2023, "ALWAYS YOURS" debuted at No. 1 on both Oricon's Weekly Album Ranking and Weekly Combined Album Ranking. The album also placed fifth on Oricon's 2023 Yearly Ranking, which covered the period from December 26, 2022 to December 18, 2023. The title track, "Ima -Even if the world ends tomorrow-," reached No. 1 on the LINE Music Daily Song Top 100.

Through their agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, the members said, "Following the Million certification for 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' last month, we are grateful and honored to share more good news. We will continue to show a range of activities, so we ask for your warm support."
