Rookie K-pop boy group WAYF BOYS has officially entered the music scene. The five-member act released their debut single "WAYF BOYS DO" on Aug. 7 at 1 p.m. KST, along with the accompanying music video.

The group is made up of Anderson, Andrew, Ryan, Junmyeong, and Samuel. Their debut track carries a clear stance: rather than follow a set formula, the members want to show the music and style they actually like. The message pushes back on the idea of repeating a look shaped by other people's expectations, and instead frames the group as doing what they want in their own way.

The members were involved in more than just the song. Anderson led the stage direction and choreography, while the rest of the group contributed ideas and movement. The performance was built to highlight each member's expression, motion, and personality, instead of locking everyone into uniform moves. The members also weighed in on the artwork design, visual direction, and content ideas.

Before the official release, WAYF BOYS previewed "WAYF BOYS DO" at Waterbomb Seoul 2026, one of the country's biggest summer music festivals. "We're excited to finally share the energy we first felt with fans at Waterbomb through an official single and music video," the group said. "This is our first song, and it's packed with the music and style we love and the ideas we built together, so we hope people enjoy it freely."

The group's agency, WAYF, said the label sees music and stage performance as the most direct way to answer expectations around the group. "The members took part in the performance and choreography, and also in the artwork and content production," the agency said. "So 'WAYF BOYS DO' shows most honestly what kind of team they are."

The group plans to build on "WAYF BOYS DO" as the starting point for further activity.
