K-pop group Stray Kids will meet fans around the world through a new festival called STRAYCITY. The group announced the plans at a press conference for their new mini-album "THIS & THAT" on Aug. 6 at the Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo district.

Stray Kids will hold STRAYCITY, a new festival built around the group, in Latin America next month. The festival will then expand into other regions.

Member Seungmin framed the project as a chance to reach fans the group has not met yet. "STRAYCITY is a great opportunity. We're still hungry," he said. "We really want to go directly to STAYs around the world who haven't had the chance to see us yet. That feeling will keep going. We want to meet as many people as possible, not only through concerts but on as many stages as we can. I think we'll be able to show a different vibe from our concerts, and I'm looking forward to it."

Hyunjin said the festival exists because of the fandom's support. "When we did our world tour in South America, it was really fun. I realized we could receive this much love even in countries so far away," he said. "STRAYCITY isn't a festival we can just decide to hold on our own. We can only do it because STAYs have shown us so much love."

He added that the group wants to answer that support with the shows themselves. "We want to give them a stage that repays that passion and love. Starting in South America, we'll bring our stage to many different regions."

Stray Kids' new mini-album "THIS & THAT" was released on Aug. 7 at 1 p.m. KST.
