BLACKPINK Marks 10th Anniversary With Brief Group Live as Jisoo Apologizes to Fans

BLACKPINK reunited for a special Weverse Live on Aug. 8 to celebrate its 10th anniversary, with Jisoo taking a moment to apologize for the confusion surrounding the group's anniversary event.

Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa appeared together for the roughly 10-minute broadcast, greeting fans and looking back on 10 years as BLACKPINK. The mood remained light throughout, with Rosé handing flowers to the other members as they celebrated the milestone together.

Before getting into the celebration, Jisoo addressed the recent backlash over the group's anniversary meet-and-greet. "We really wanted to meet a lot of fans, and we know how important our 10th anniversary is," she said. "But I think there were some issues with our communication, and we're very sorry about that."

The event came under fire after it was announced just two days before the anniversary with few details, while an initial notice said only members available depending on their schedules would attend. YG Entertainment later confirmed that all four members would be there.

Fans were happy to see the four members together again, though the short broadcast also left some wanting more, with reactions noting that it was over after only about 10 minutes.

BLACKPINK is set to meet 40 Weverse membership holders at the National Museum of Korea later in the day.
