Han So-hee Debuts Blonde Bob, Fueling 'Solo Leveling' Cha Hae-in Buzz
Actor Han So-hee has cut her hair into a short blonde bob, and fans think they know exactly why. The new look bears a striking resemblance to Cha Hae-in, the character she will play in the upcoming Netflix series "Solo Leveling."
Han posted several photos to her social media on Saturday with no caption. In the images, her signature long hair is gone, replaced by a bleached blonde cut with bangs. Heavy eye makeup gives the look a dreamy but intense edge.
The mood of the shoot leaned casual and unposed. In one shot, Han sits in a chair with her legs stretched out toward opposite walls. She wears a light blue striped top, white bottoms, lace socks, and sneakers.
Fans quickly connected the styling to Cha Hae-in. Comments flooded in with reactions like "It's Cha Hae-in" and "She's already in Cha Hae-in mode." In the original web novel and webtoon, Cha Hae-in is known for her blonde hair and pale skin, and readers say Han's new look matches the character closely.
"Solo Leveling" is an action fantasy about Sung Jin-woo, once the weakest hunter, who gains a special power and keeps leveling up. Byeon Woo-seok has been cast as Sung Jin-woo, with Kang Yoo-seok joining as Yoo Jin-ho. For Han, it will be her third Netflix original drama after "My Name" and the "Gyeongseong Creature" series.
Han has not directly said whether the blonde transformation is tied to the role. Fans, though, are treating it as a first look at Cha Hae-in.
She also has a film release coming next month. Han stars alongside Choi Min-sik in "The Intern," a Korean remake of the 2015 American film of the same name.
