AEN Spotlights Seven-Member Choreography in "X to Z" Performance Video
Rookie boy group AEN put the group's seven member's choreography and synchronization at the forefront of their newly released performance video for their debut title track, "X to Z (Next to me)."
Their debut mini-album titled [A NEW ERA OF NOW] was released both in South Korea and Japan on the 5th of August. Following its release the group shared a more performance-focused video through the group's official YouTube channel.
In comparison to the track's official music video, the performance video strips back a lot of the elaborate staging in order to focus on the members' movements. While the original video follows AEN as they encounter a mysterious presence and search for clues, this performance video features more dynamic camera work. This is done to be able to follow the seven members through their various formations in order to highlight them both individually and also as a full group.
The performance incorporates detailed hand movements alongside larger full-body choreography and thus the stripped-back presentation offers a closer look at the group's performance style and chemistry following its official debut.
The performance video arrives as the track, "X to Z (Next to me)," continues to gain attention following its release. Combining both rock influences alongside electric guitar and synth bass tones, the track is anchored by a prominent hook in order to showcase the energy of their debut.
Created through a collaboration between Starship Entertainment and Amuse, AEN is a seven-member boy group that consists of four Korean and three Japanese members. The group's name stands for "A New Era of Now," reflecting its goal of defining a new era through its music and performances.
AEN's debut mini album [A NEW ERA OF NOW] is now available across music streaming platforms.
