BLACKPINK's Lisa is at the center of new dating rumors with Thai actor Blue Pongtiwat, who is three years her junior. The two have been known as longtime friends, but a string of recent sightings across Thailand, Hong Kong, and Japan has fans speculating that the relationship may be something more.

Posts about the pair have been spreading across online communities and social media in recent days. Lisa and Blue Pongtiwat have been close for several years, and the two have been spotted together in Thailand on multiple occasions.

The dating talk picked up as sightings outside Thailand began piling up. Late last month, photos believed to show Lisa and Blue Pongtiwat together in Hong Kong made the rounds online. More recently, fans claimed the two were also seen together in Japan. Reports that Lisa and her family celebrated the birthday of Blue Pongtiwat's mother added more fuel to the interest around their relationship.

Born in 2000, Blue Pongtiwat is three years younger than Lisa, who was born in 1997. He works in Thailand as an actor, singer, and model, with credits including the Netflix series "Ready, Set, Love." In South Korea, he is also known by the nickname "the Cha Eun-woo of Thailand," a reference to the ASTRO member and actor often cited as a benchmark for visuals.

Lisa's previous dating rumors are drawing fresh attention as well. Since 2023, she has been repeatedly photographed abroad with Frédéric Arnault, the son of LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault, sparking speculation about a romance. The two have never publicly confirmed a relationship.

Recent chatter has suggested that Lisa and Frédéric Arnault have split. That backdrop, combined with the string of overseas sightings with Blue Pongtiwat, has pushed the new dating rumors further into the spotlight. Neither Lisa nor Blue Pongtiwat has issued an official statement on the matter.

BLACKPINK marked its 10th debut anniversary on August 8. The group faced criticism over its handling of fans after announcing the anniversary event just two days in advance and capping attendance at 40 people. Initial guidance said only some members would attend, and even after all four were confirmed, fans voiced disappointment over how the rollout was handled. On the anniversary itself, members Jisoo and Rosé apologized to fans through a live broadcast and social media.
