KiiiKiii's "WhyKiiiKiii" Era Takes Off As They Rise To No.1 on K-POPIT Board
KiiiKiii has climbed to the top on the K-POPIT Board's Global Rise Chart as the group continues a packed week of comeback activities surrounding their latest third mini-album "WhyKiiiKiii" driving their momentum across various music charts, online platforms and major U.S stages.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, the K-POP analytics index, KiiiKiii ranked No. 1 on the Global Rise Chart on August 13 with a Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 70. The Power Index combines data from music charts, social media activity and news coverage to measure an artist's overall momentum.
Released on August 10th, "WhyKiiiKiii" marked the group's first comeback in approximately seven months following "Delulu Pack" which arrived with considerable attention following the success of its previous title track "404 (New Era)." Now, KiiiKiii uses "WhyKiiiKii" to expand their musical identity even further as they experiment with a summer concept while still incorporating Y2K influences that signal the early 2010s tumblr eras.
Promoted through various social channels and aiding with an offline pop-up store, the mini-albums title track, "Pop Off Pop Off" quickly reached No.1 on Youtube's worldwide music video trending chart following its release. The track also climbed to a peak of No.27 on Melon's TOP100 while every track from the mini-album entered the chart as well.
Internationally, "WhyKiiiKiii" reached No.1 on the iTunes Top K-Pop Music Albums chart in France, the Netherlands and Australia, while placing within the Top 10 across 13 other countries including the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.
Moreover, KiiiKiii's comeback has also been accompanied by a variety of schedules aimed to expand the group's visibility just beyond the digital platforms. The group got to perform at 88rising's Head In The Clouds LA 2026 on August 8, just two days before the album's official release. Having had time to develop their live skills through various national university festivals, the group was able to make one of their first festival appearances abroad bringing their energetic performance style.
Their U.S. activities continued on August 10 as KiiiKiii made their first appearance at a Major League Baseball game at Angel Stadium in Anaheim for the Los Angeles Angels' game against the Texas Rangers. The appearance offered KiiiKiii more exposure to local audiences outside of the traditional K-POP promotional circuit coming just two days after their Head In The Clouds performance.
The group has also participated in a variety of other activities in the U.S such as Dive Studio's MICDRIVE and an appearance at hello82's space in Los Angeles as part of their summer series in which they get to do various activities alongside fans. Lastly, the group also released their video appearing on It's Live where they performed "Pop Off Pop Off" alongside a live band.
The group's various activities have created a comeback week that has stretched beyond the usual release of an album as KiiiKiii was able to move between a major U.S music festival, and various domestic and international appearances while keeping themselves and "Pop Off Pop Off" visible across multiple audiences.
That combination of music performance, global activity and sustained online attention has now translated onto the K-POPIT Board, with KiiiKiii rising to No. 1 on the latest ranking. It also points towards their continued growth with them now being in their second year of activities.
While "404 (New Era)" provided KiiiKiii with one of their biggest breakthroughs to date, "WhyKiiiKiii" is showing how the group is attempting to turn that success into broader momentum rather than relying on a single hit.
