KiiiKiii Makes MLB Debut as 'WhyKiiiKiii' Gains Momentum on Global Charts

KiiiKiii continued its U.S. activities with its first Major League Baseball appearance, arriving as the group builds momentum around its third EP, "WhyKiiiKiii."

The group attended the Los Angeles Angels' game against the Texas Rangers at Angel Stadium in Anaheim on Aug. 10. Member Kya took the mound for the ceremonial first pitch, throwing to Angels pitcher Blake Weiman. The members also took commemorative photos with Weiman and Angels star Mike Trout.

The appearance followed KiiiKiii's performance at Head In The Clouds LA on Aug. 8, giving the group back-to-back opportunities to meet U.S. audiences outside its usual promotional circuit.

Meanwhile, "WhyKiiiKiii," released Aug. 10, is also gaining traction internationally. The EP reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top K-Pop Albums chart in France, the Netherlands and Australia, while placing within the top 10 in 13 countries and regions.

Title track "Pop Off Pop Off" also topped YouTube's worldwide trending music videos chart and reached No. 27 on Melon's Top 100.
