WJSN member Dayoung is having a breakout summer moment. Her new collaboration with Jay Park has drawn attention from foreign press, and the buzz is now feeding back into her home market in South Korea.

According to K-POPIT BOARD, a global K-pop analytics index, Dayoung landed inside the top 10 on both domestic and international charts on August 14. She scored 62 on the domestic Power Index (PWR_KR) and 58 on the global Power Index (PWR_GL). The Power Index combines music chart performance, social media activity, and news data to measure an artist's buzz and momentum.

Her D-Layer social score, which tracks interest from general audiences outside her core fandom, jumped 100 percent in a single day. Analysts point to one clear driver. Her single with Jay Park, "FLIRTY," was released on August 4, and coverage in outlets like Forbes has pushed the song in front of a wider audience.

In an August 7 article, Forbes called Dayoung "the queen of summer anthems," praising her music and pointing back to her earlier hit "Body." The magazine suggested "FLIRTY" could become another seasonal signature, following the run "Body" had last summer. Korean media picked up the story on August 12, spreading the news to domestic readers.

The numbers followed. Views on YouTube videos related to Dayoung rose 42.5 percent in a day. TikTok mentions climbed 36.5 percent over the same window. Mentions on X, formerly Twitter, went up 31.1 percent in 24 hours.

There is more on the way. Dayoung is set to perform at Waterbomb Sokcho 2026 on the 22nd, one of the biggest summer festival stages in South Korea. That appearance should keep her momentum going through the rest of the month.
