Rookie K-pop boy group WAYF BOYS has made its official debut with its first single.

The five-member group — Anderson, Andrew, Ryan, Junmyung and Samuel — released its debut single "WAYF BOYS DO" on Aug. 7, along with a music video.

"WAYF BOYS DO" reflects the group's approach of breaking away from fixed rules and conventions to pursue the music and style they prefer. Built around hip-hop and R&B, the track highlights the distinct vocal and rap styles of its five members rather than blending them into a uniform sound.

The music video takes a similar approach. Instead of presenting all five members through a single concept or image, it highlights their individual styles and expressions. Fashion and artwork also play into the group's free-spirited identity.

WAYF BOYS recently followed up with a performance film for "WAYF BOYS DO." While the music video focuses on the overall visual presentation, the performance film puts the members' movements, expressions and chemistry at the center.

Rather than emphasizing complete uniformity, the performance allows each member's gestures and expressions to come through while showing how the five work together as a team.

Following the release of the performance film, viewers highlighted the members' choreography, expressions, vocals, rap and visuals, with particular attention on their distinct individual characters and chemistry as a group.

WAYF BOYS had already been sharing content online ahead of its debut. Since officially launching, the group has continued to introduce its identity through its debut single, music video and performance film.

With "WAYF BOYS DO," WAYF BOYS has taken its first step into the K-pop scene.
