BTS is heading back to Texas this weekend, bringing their "ARIRANG" World Tour to Arlington for two sold-out shows at the AT&T Stadium on August 15 and 16.

The shows will mark yet another milestone for the groups as the first K-POP concerts ever held at the stadium which is more famously known as the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The stop has become one of the most anticipated dates of the North American leg, with many fans across social media platforms predicting just how loud the massive stadium could get when the seven members take the stage.

"I think we are truly underestimating how loud the Arlington concerts are going to be," one fan wrote on X, pointing to both the size of the stop and its significance as a first for K-POP at the stadium.

By now, fans following BTS across North America have a pretty good idea of what to expect once the concert begins. The group performs from a 360-degree stage placed in the middle of the stadium, moving between songs from its latest album, "ARIRANG," and tracks spanning more than a decade of its career.

Arlington Turns Purple for BTS

The BTS experience in Arlington is extending far beyond the AT&T Stadium as the City of Arlington announced that landmarks across the city will light up purple from August 14 through 16. This is also done to welcome the tens of thousands of ARMY traveling for the Texas shows.

City Hall, Rotary Dream Park, the Collins Street water tower near AT&T Stadium and gateway monuments around Arlington are among the locations joining the purple celebration. Furthermore, the city has also created seven BTS and ARMY-themed photo opportunities across Downtown Arlington and the Entertainment District.

Fans can pose with giant finger hearts at City Center Plaza, an ARMY logo at Rotary Dream Park and a Texas-shaped installation topped with a cowboy hat outside Texas Live! Closer to AT&T Stadium, fans will find a "Borahae Boulevard" street sign, an "And You're Gonna Be Happy in Arlington" purple whale and an "ARIRANG" Tour logo.

The reception has caught the attention of local ARMY, who say the city's involvement has made the weekend feel like more than just another concert stop. Texas ARMY Unites said Arlington had gone "above and beyond" to welcome fans, highlighting the purple lighting, events and photo installations spread throughout the city.

"It feels like the entire city is celebrating right alongside us," the fan organization said in a statement shared by the City of Arlington.

A BTS Celebration Months in the Making

Arlington's welcome didn't begin just with concert week as the city has spent much of the summer building towards the groups arrival.

In July, around 140 fans attended a “BTS for Everyone,” a community organized event by the Arlington Public Library and Parks, Recreation & Culture Department. Here, attendees made bracelets, paper light stick shakers, paintings and keychains while listening to BTS music.

The celebrations continued on Aug. 8 with the "Dynamite Dive-In BTS Summer Splash" at Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center. Nearly 200 attendees gathered for a BTS-themed pool night featuring music, freebies, purple glow beach balls and custom stickers.

Fans arriving for the concerts can also pick up a free K-Pop Arlington sticker from the Downtown Library or Esports Stadium Arlington over the weekend while supplies last.

Demand Remains High Ahead of the Shows

Despite both Arlington dates selling out, fans without tickets haven't completely given up on getting inside AT&T Stadium. In the days leading up to the concerts, ARMY have continued watching SeatGeek for additional tickets, with some fans reporting small batches of seats appearing as final preparations are made inside the venue.

Others have turned to resale in hopes that prices will fall closer to showtime.

"Looks like SeatGeek is starting to slow release additional tickets for this weekend's shows for BTS in Arlington," one fan wrote on X, claiming they had seen seats in the 200-level sections listed in the $500 range and some 100-level seats between roughly $600 and $800.

Before Heading to AT&T Stadium

Fans attending either Arlington show should prepare for a different transportation situation than some of BTS' previous North American stops as the stadium sits between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth.

Those driving should secure official parking in advance where possible and leave additional time for traffic surrounding the Entertainment District. Fans using rideshare services should also prepare for potentially lengthy waits and congestion following the concerts as tens of thousands of attendees leave the area at once.

As always, fans should make sure their mobile tickets are ready before approaching the stadium and check AT&T Stadium's latest event information before leaving for the venue.

Between a city covered in purple, seven BTS-themed photo spots and thousands of fans descending on Arlington from around the world, the "ARIRANG" Tour is already making its presence felt before BTS even steps onto the AT&T Stadium stage.

For a group making history as the first K-POP act to headline the stadium, Arlington appears determined to give BTS, and ARMY, a Texas-sized welcome.
