BLACKPINK's Jennie has apologized to fans over the backlash surrounding the group's 10th anniversary event, becoming the last of the four members to publicly address the controversy.

Jennie posted a long message on a fan communication platform on Aug. 17. "As we marked BLACKPINK's 10th anniversary, I've been really upset that I wasn't able to properly talk with BLINKs," she wrote.

She explained why the message came when it did. "I wanted to finish the festival performances that had already been scheduled before writing this, because I felt I could better convey how I feel that way," she said.

"On a day that should only have been about celebrating 10 years together, we ended up leaving each other with regret. I have no excuses, only apologies," Jennie continued. "BLINKs have been BLACKPINK's greatest blessing and love. I'm sorry for not showing a more mature side, and I want to say thank you for the past 10 years."

She added, "I'm keeping our bond in the deepest part of my heart. I want to send happiness and endless thanks to all of you again. Congratulations on the 10th anniversary, and thank you even more for being with us."

Jennie closed the post with a promise. "I won't forget what I've learned and felt through this time, and I'll keep working to become a Jennie who can deliver love to all of you," she wrote.

BLACKPINK marked its 10th debut anniversary on Aug. 8. The group came under fire after announcing its commemorative event just two days in advance and capping attendance at 40 fans. Frustration grew further when the agency first told fans that only some members would attend, then later confirmed that all four would appear. Jisoo and Rosé addressed the disappointment through a 10th anniversary live broadcast and social media. Lisa also apologized to fans through a fan communication platform on Aug. 14.

Before posting her apology, Jennie appeared as a headliner at Summer Sonic on Aug. 14 at ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, and on Aug. 16 at Expo '70 Commemorative Park in Osaka.

After wrapping up her scheduled festival appearances, Jennie posted her apology to fans. With her message, all four BLACKPINK members have now publicly apologized over the backlash surrounding the group's 10th anniversary event.
