OURBIRTHDAY Is One Day Away From Official Debut With "SQUEEZY"

JYP Entertainment's newest girl group OURBIRTHDAY is officially one day away from making its debut.

OURBIRTHDAY unveiled the music video teaser for "SQUEEZY," the title track of their first single "Our Birthday," through their official social media channels on August 17.

The teaser shows the seven members preparing to take the stage as special guests while curious audience members attempt to figure out who they are. Against an upbeat rhythm and voices chanting "OURBIRTHDAY," the members are seen backstage ready to make their entrance, building anticipation for their official introduction.

OURBIRTHDAY is JYP Entertainment's first new girl group since NMIXX debuted four years ago. Ahead of their official debut, the group introduced themselves through unit pre-debut promotions for "HUNGRY," releasing the track in separate "Side A" and "Side B" versions.

Several members also enter the group with previous competition show experience. Jo Hyejin won KBS2's "The Ddanddara" and previously appeared on Mnet's "Street Dance Girls Fighter 2," while Shin Hyewon competed on JTBC's "R U Next?" Yu also gained attention after finishing third on "The Ddanddara."

With their debut single, OURBIRTHDAY will formally introduce their signature genre, "WHIP-HOP."

The group describes "WHIP-HOP" as a combination of the seven members' individual personalities mixed together like whipped cream alongside a free-spirited atmosphere and hip-hop-driven performance. The concept is intended to establish the playful and energetic musical identity OURBIRTHDAY plans to carry into its debut.

The group's name similarly reflects its aim to approach everyday life as though each day were a birthday, turning ordinary moments into something exciting through its music and performances.

OURBIRTHDAY's first single "Our Birthday," led by title track "SQUEEZY," will be released on August 19 at 6 p.m. KST on various streaming platforms.
