BTS's Jin Sets New Solo Record With "Don't Say You Love Me" on Spotify
BTS member Jin has crossed 1 billion cumulative streams on Spotify with a solo song for the first time. The milestone was set by "Don't Say You Love Me," the title track from his second EP "Echo."
According to the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, the song passed 1 billion cumulative streams as of August 18. That makes it the most-streamed solo track of Jin's career. "Echo" was released in May 2025.
"Don't Say You Love Me" is a pop track about the tangled feelings of two people who cannot let go, even as their relationship is ending. Restrained production and a cool, melodic hook sit under Jin's calm vocal.
The song also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, entering at No. 90 on the chart dated May 31, 2025. It was Jin's third solo entry on the Hot 100, following the 2022 single "The Astronaut" and "Running Wild," the title track from his 2024 first EP "Happy."
The track performed strongly on global charts as well. "Don't Say You Love Me" reached No. 2 on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global, No. 6 on the Billboard Global 200, and No. 4 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S.
"Echo" set a new personal best for Jin on Billboard's main albums chart. The EP debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 dated May 31, 2025, the highest ranking for any of his solo releases to date.
