CHUNG HA Sets September Return With New Single 'México'

CHUNG HA is returning with new music seven months after her last release.

Her agency MORE VISION announced Aug. 18 that the singer will release her new digital single, "México," on Sept. 1. A coming-soon clip was also unveiled, offering the first look at the concept for the release.

The teaser places CHUNG HA alone in a subdued setting before everything around her fades into black and white. The title "México" then appears in bright red, while another scene shows her playing a cassette tape as a brief snippet of her vocals can be heard.

The song explores the desire to escape a repetitive, empty reality and leave for somewhere no one knows you, with the hope of discovering a different side of yourself along the way.

Fans will also have a hand in shaping the release. Voting is open through Aug. 21 on b.stage to choose among three possible album covers, with the winning image becoming the official artwork.

"México" follows CHUNG HA's February single "Save me" and will be released Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. KST.
