K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK's Jennie is taking legal action against people who maliciously edit and spread images and videos of her online. Her agency, OA Entertainment, said it will not settle any of these cases.

OA Entertainment shared the notice through its official social media on August 18. The company said it has been tracking a steady stream of posts across online communities and social media that spread baseless attacks and false claims about Jennie. It added that photos and videos of the artist are being maliciously edited, altered, and shared in ways that violate her privacy and personal rights.

"We take these violations of our artist's rights very seriously," the agency said. It added that it is working with outside legal counsel to monitor the posts and accounts involved, gather evidence, and pursue both civil and criminal action in serious cases.

The statement called out specific behaviors the company plans to target. Those include malicious edits that alter Jennie's physical features, the repeated posting and resharing of certain clips or images, and posts that pair her image with insults or false claims. "In this process, we make clear that there will be no settlements and no leniency," the agency said.

The announcement follows Jennie's headlining performance at Summer Sonic 2026 in Chiba, Japan, on August 14. After the show, a video that appeared to show an accidental exposure began circulating across online communities. Questions were subsequently raised online over whether the footage had been altered, including speculation that AI technology may have been used. However, it has not been confirmed whether the video was manipulated or AI-generated.
