AEN Draws Attention in Korea and Japan Following Debut
AEN is gaining attention in both Korea and Japan as the newly debuted boy group begins its first round of promotions.
The seven-member group, jointly launched by Starship Entertainment and Japan's Amuse, released its debut EP, "A NEW ERA OF NOW," simultaneously in both countries on Aug. 5. The group consists of four Korean and three Japanese members and is currently promoting its title track, "X to Z (Next to me)."
AEN has already landed coverage from several Japanese outlets. Oricon Music introduced the group as a rising act with ambitions beyond Asia, while TV Guide web highlighted the members' individual personalities and chemistry across the Korean-Japanese lineup. The group is also set to appear on Nippon TV's music program "Buzz Rhythm 02."
Support has also come from fellow artists. MONSTA X's Kihyun, IVE's Rei and members of several Korean and Japanese groups have joined AEN's dance challenge, including CANDY TUNE and DXTEEN.
With promotions underway in both markets, AEN is now looking to build on its early attention and introduce its music and performance style to a wider audience.
