K-POP girl group BABYMONSTER has crossed 13 million YouTube subscribers, joining a small group of K-pop girl acts at that scale.

The milestone hit around 5 a.m. KST on August 21, according to the group's agency, YG Entertainment.

The figure comes two years and four months after BABYMONSTER debuted in April 2024. Among K-pop girl groups, only BLACKPINK and TWICE have larger YouTube followings. The group had already hit 10 million subscribers one year and five months after debut, one of the faster climbs by a rookie girl group on the platform.

Total views on the channel now stand at 9.88 billion. The music video for "SHEESH" has drawn 417 million views, and the performance video for "LIKE THAT" has reached 248 million. A more recent performance video for "DRIP" has passed 200 million.

The group's third EP, "CHOOM," released in May, also drove the recent growth. Over three months, four music videos and three performance videos tied to the release, including the title track "CHOOM" along with "SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA," "I LIKE IT," and "MOON," have gathered a combined 700 million views. Clips tied to "MOON," the most recent release, are approaching 100 million views combined.

YG Entertainment credited the results to executive producer Yang Hyun-suk's approach to video content. The label said it applied the same YouTube-first strategy and performance-driven video production style that shaped BLACKPINK's rollout to BABYMONSTER as well.
