TNX is returning with a sharper sound and an even sharper sense of purpose.

The group will release its third digital single "Die Another Day" on August 27 at 6 p.m. KST, marking its first comeback in approximately seven months following "CALL ME BACK."

This time, TNX is moving away from the brighter energy of its previous release and embracing a more intense sound built around electric guitar, explosive drums and a darker visual identity.

Member Eun Hwi participated in writing and composing "Die Another Day," while producer Ryan Jhun also contributed to the track. The song carries a message of refusing to give up even when everything appears to be over, reflecting the group's own determination heading into this comeback.

In a new interview, TNX spoke candidly about the mindset behind the release saying, "We prepared with an even more determined attitude," Eun Hwi said. "I want to prove how much we've changed, how much better we've become and that we are a group that deserves to be loved."

For Eun Hwi, that motivation became even clearer during conversations with Ryan Jhun.

"One thing he said that stayed with me was, ‘I want to show the people who said you wouldn't make it that they were wrong,'" Eun Hwi recalled. "That gave me a very clear goal. The reason I want to work harder and become better now is because I want to prove the people who thought I couldn't do it wrong."

That sentiment runs directly through "Die Another Day." Rather than building its lyrics around a fictional scenario, Eun Hwi looked back on the members' own experiences and emotions while writing the song.

Each member's part was designed to reflect something personal, with Eun Hwi explaining that he wanted the members to sing about what they themselves had experienced and felt which takes an approach different from their previous material.

"Up until our previous albums, I would create fictional scenarios to develop the songs and lyrics," Eun Hwi said. "For this comeback, we looked directly back at the days we've lived through. I think that honesty will make the music feel different."

The group also described the preparation process as one that strengthened both its skills and teamwork. Members pointed to improvements in live vocals and dance performance, while Eun Hwi said his own mentality had changed significantly after struggling with confidence earlier in his career.

That intensity carried over into the music video shoot. According to Chun Jun Hyeok, the group spent approximately 12 hours filming choreography on the first day alone. Eun Hwi added that some of the strongest scenes came after the members had nearly exhausted their energy, as their determination to finish the performance translated naturally on camera.

PSY, founder of TNX's agency, also emphasized live performance throughout preparations.

"He told us, 'Let's sing and dance on stage as if we've died up there,'" Choi Tae Hun recalled. "After hearing that, I thought, 'Yeah, what can't we do?'"

Ultimately, TNX says its goal for "Die Another Day" goes beyond chart positions or immediate results. "I want to show that the people who thought we wouldn't make it were wrong," Eun Hwi said. "I want to show that TNX is a group that deserves to be loved."

Oh Sung Jun added that he hopes the release lives up to its title by becoming not an ending, but a new beginning for the group.

"Die Another Day" will be released on August 27 at 6 p.m. KST.
