Byun Yo-han Gushes Over Wife Tiffany Young: "I Can't Put My Love Into Words"
KBS 2TV's music talk show "The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend" is set to bring together a lineup of veteran singers, actors and rising producers for its next episode. The show airs on Nov. 28 at 11:30 p.m. KST and will feature Lena Park, actors Byun Yo-han and Moon Ji-hoon (rapper Swings), producer SUMIN and rock band Silica Gel.
Lena Park appears in the show's duet segment "Two People," pairing with host Sung Si-kyung for a smooth, seasoned harmony. She also uses the appearance to promote her personal YouTube channel "Big Jung Hyun." "Ever since the COVID-19 period, I was hungry for a stage," she says. "I started YouTube to find a stage of my own." Sung, the more experienced YouTuber of the two, shared tips he picked up from comedian Haha. Park then delivers an impromptu performance of one of her signature songs, drawing a reaction from the studio audience that Sung says he has never seen before.
Byun Yo-han and Moon Ji-hoon, the leads of the film "Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub," also stop by. Moon, who is making his acting debut after 19 years as the rapper Swings, tells the host, "Right now I'm in Moon Ji-hoon mode," teasing a different side of himself. Byun shares how a random algorithm recommendation first led him to Moon's acting attempts, and reveals the behind-the-scenes story of how he played a key role in the casting.
Byun also opens up about giving up alcohol for seven months to prepare for "Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub." "I feel like I came back from the edge of death," he says. The two actors, who are the same age, deliver a duet stage that leans into their rugged charm. Byun, who left a comment under Tiffany's stage clip from her May appearance on the show, is teased by Sung with the question, "How much do you love her?" His answer: "I can't even put it into words."
SUMIN, a producer who has worked with top K-pop acts including BTS, aespa, IU and BoA, talks openly about the moment she realized she could make a living from music, when her work began translating into real income. She then shares the story behind aespa's "Armageddon," which she co-produced with Ejae, one of the creative voices behind "KPop Demon Hunters," and performs live on the spot. Her distinct tone and groove leave Sung impressed, with the host noting that the sound is clearly different.
Silica Gel closes the episode with the band's signature sound and stage presence. During a chat about insomnia, frontman Kim Han-joo catches Sung off guard with an unexpected fix. "After I got married, I started sleeping well," he says, briefly leaving the host speechless. Silica Gel also reveals that the group first formed through a media art class in college, and that one of its founding members is now working as art director on "The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend" itself, a reveal that stirs the studio. On the recent "Sillyega Gel" parody making the rounds online, the band says they found it fun and were happy to see it.
The episode signals how "The Seasons - Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend" continues to bridge K-pop, indie, hip-hop and film in one room, using Sung Si-kyung's low-key hosting style as the connective thread. As the show heads into the back half of its run, its willingness to mix a vocalist like Lena Park with a producer like SUMIN and a band like Silica Gel in a single night keeps positioning it as one of Korean television's most flexible music platforms.
