Girls' Generation-HRS to Debut With 'Skibidi'

Girls' Generation members Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung are making their debut as project unit Girls' Generation-HRS with the digital single "Skibidi."

The single will be released Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. KST and contains two tracks, "Skibidi" and "Lowkey In Love." A performance video for the title track will arrive at the same time through the SMTOWN YouTube channel.

"Skibidi" opens with a house sound before shifting into hip-hop, with Arabian string samples woven throughout the track. Its lyrics center on the trio carving out a path of their own, matching the playful tone behind the project.

B-side "Lowkey In Love," meanwhile, takes a retro-inspired dance-pop approach, combining brass sounds with a rhythmic groove and upbeat melody.

The trio already gave both songs their first live performances at the 2026 CassCool Festival at Seoul Land on Aug. 22.

Girls' Generation-HRS originated from the "Fake Kim Hyoyeon" series on Hyoyeon's YouTube channel "Hyo's Level Up," where the three members competed over positions including main vocalist and center.
