NCT 127 Brings 'Blingy' to the Stage With New Performances
NCT 127 is putting the performance of "Blingy" at the center of promotions for its seventh full-length album.
Since releasing "BLINGY" on Aug. 24, the group has performed its title track across Korean music shows including "M Countdown," "Music Bank," "Show! Music Core" and "Inkigayo," as well as through its comeback live and YouTube performance content.
The choreography moves between tightly synchronized group sections and more relaxed, groove-driven moments, with frequent formation changes throughout. A signature hand gesture inspired by the song's title also appears as a recurring point in the performance.
"Blingy" combines distorted synths, heavy drums and a chanting chorus, while drawing from rage and dubstep within its hip-hop production. The lyrics center on NCT 127's confidence in its performance and pride in the group's identity.
The song has also made its way into short-form content, with actors Matt Damon, Charlize Theron and Terry Crews among those taking part in the "Blingy" challenge.
