IU Supports Byeon Woo-seok's Netflix Series 'Solo Leveling' With Food Truck
IU is keeping in touch with her former co-star. The singer and actress sent a coffee truck to the set of Byeon Woo-seok's new Netflix series, months after the two wrapped their MBC drama together.
A food truck vendor posted photos from the set on September 2, writing that the delivery was in support of the Netflix drama "Solo Leveling." The vendor said IU had gone big and ordered the "world star" set for Byeon Woo-seok and the production crew.
The truck came with playful messages built around Byeon Woo-seok's name and his character, Sung Jin-woo. IU added a note of encouragement: "Let's level up together. Anyway, fighting to the "Solo Leveling" team."
The two starred together in the MBC drama "Queen Mother of the 21st Century" (21segi Daegunbuin), which ended in May. The series drew controversy over historical inaccuracies and concerns tied to China's Northeast Project. About four months after the show wrapped, IU and Byeon Woo-seok are still cheering each other on.
Byeon Woo-seok is now deep in filming for "Solo Leveling." Based on the hit web novel and webtoon of the same name, the series follows Sung Jin-woo, the weakest E-rank hunter, who awakens after a brush with death and grows into the strongest hunter capable of saving the world.
