EVAN Opens Up Ahead of Solo Comeback: "I Feel Like Someone Is Chasing Me"
Solo artist EVAN has appeared on the digital cover of U.S. fashion and culture magazine Teen Vogue.
Teen Vogue published a photo shoot and interview with EVAN on its official website on Sept. 3, ahead of the release of his debut mini-album.
The images capture different sides of the singer. In one shot, EVAN appears to soar through the air on a bike, creating a sense of movement and energy. Another shows him posing with a prop that combines a guitar and a kick scooter, while a separate image features him wearing a cracked helmet and staring intensely into the camera.
In the interview, EVAN explained why he continues to set new goals for himself. "I often feel like someone is constantly chasing me, and that person is probably myself," he said. "I have a hard time feeling satisfied unless I sense that I'm always changing or growing. So I keep giving myself goals to accomplish."
EVAN also discussed the upcoming album, for which he led production. "Rather than expecting a positive response just because I produced it, I think the music itself has to give listeners a positive experience," he said. "I hope people listen to my songs and judge for themselves whether they're good. I'll keep working so that they feel it's good music."
EVAN will release his first mini-album, "DEATH OF ME," on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. KST. The album contains eight tracks, including the title track, "Death of Me," and explores his inner world through a range of sounds.
The album has topped Spotify's "Top 10 countdowns" pre-save ranking for six consecutive days, signaling strong interest ahead of its release.
