KickFlip Drops Moody Concept Photos for 'Mianwanseong' Ahead of October Comeback
K-POP boy group KickFlip has revealed the first individual concept photos for its upcoming release. The group's agency, JYP Entertainment, dropped a teaser video at 11 p.m. KST on September 8, followed by member concept photos for the double title track "Mianwanseong" at midnight KST on September 9 through the group's official social media.
The images place each member against a muted backdrop, with puzzle pieces used as the central prop. The setup captures a snapshot of youth trying to find a way through tangled thoughts. It's a quieter, more still mood than the group's usual brighter visuals.
Along with the photos, JYP Entertainment shared fragments of the lyrics. Lines include "Being unfinished is my kind of perfect," "Yeah, this is just how I am, incomplete," "Clumsy lines connecting into a Masterpiece," "The further I go, the more Messed up it feels," "A mess, dizzy, weird all day long," and "Even after rewriting the answers all night, it always ends up unfinished."
Members took an active role in the new record. Leader Gyehun contributed to "Mianwanseong," following his work on "Nune Geoseulligo Sipeo," the title track from the group's fourth EP. The other title track, "Kick Off The Wall" featuring iann dior, credits both Gyehun and member Dongwha. It's the group's first double title release since its debut, and the two tracks are built as a call and response. "Mianwanseong" poses the question, and "Kick Off The Wall" moves toward an answer.
The group also opened its next fan club recruitment window. On September 8, KickFlip shared a poster for the second generation of its official fan club, "WeFlip," through its social channels. Sign-ups run from September 14 to October 4 on the fandom platform FANS.
KickFlip's new mini album, "KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1," arrives October 6 at 6 p.m. KST across streaming platforms. The group takes the Mnet M2 comeback stage the same day at 7 p.m. KST.
