TXT's Beomgyu Expands Solo Activities in Japan Across Entertainment and Fashion
TXT's Beomgyu is expanding his individual activities in Japan, appearing across entertainment, digital content and fashion alongside the group's continued success in the market.
TXT topped major Japanese charts including Oricon and Billboard Japan with its fifth Japanese single released in August. Against that, member Beomgyu has recently taken on a growing number of individual projects with both Japanese artists and media.
On September 8, Beomgyu appeared on Japanese singer and actor Kento Nakajima's YouTube channel. The two previously drew attention from fans after discovering that they share the same March 13 birthday and have since continued their friendship through photos and videos together.
In the latest video, Beomgyu and Nakajima met at HYBE's headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, where they played games and sat down for a brief yet heartfelt conversation.
Beomgyu is also set to appear in a travel show, Miracle Journey in Fukuoka, which will be released through Japanese streaming platform Hulu on October 3.
The travel program pairs him with Japanese actor Takumi Kitamura for a trip through Fukuoka. According to the program, the meeting came together after Beomgyu named Kitamura as the person he most wanted to meet.
His activities in Japan are also extending into fashion as Beomgyu will appear on the special-edition cover of Numero TOKYO's December issue. The accompanying editorial will feature a collaboration with Italian fashion house Marni.
The projects add to Beomgyu's individual presence in Japan as TXT continues its wider activities in the country.
Meanwhile, TXT resumed its original variety series TO DO X TXT on September 7. New episodes are released every Monday at 9 p.m. KST through the group's official YouTube channel.
