NEXZ Whets Appetites With "SAUCIN'," Takes Its Special Sauce Global
JYP Entertainment boy group NEXZ has wrapped promotions for its fourth EP, "SAUCIN'," and is now taking its special sauce to the global stage. The seven-member group will perform at festivals across Latin America before holding concerts in Seoul as part of its first Asia tour in October.
NEXZ, consisting of Tomoya, Yu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Hyui, and Yuki, released "SAUCIN'" and its title track of the same name on Aug. 24. The group promoted the release on Korean music shows for two weeks, beginning with Mnet's "M Countdown" on Aug. 27. It also appeared on MBC every1 and MBC M's "Show Champion," KBS 2TV's "Music Bank," MBC's "Show! Music Core," and SBS's "Inkigayo."
In addition to the title track, NEXZ performed the B-sides "LOCO" and "APPETITE." "SAUCIN'" brought bright, festival-ready energy, while "LOCO" highlighted the group's wilder side through powerful choreography. "APPETITE" paired an upbeat melody with a catchy performance, allowing the group to present a different style with each song.
NEXZ also released a series of videos tied to the album. These included teasers spotlighting the members' individual personalities and demanding choreography, a challenge filmed throughout broadcasting stations, and the original content series "7 Sauce Guys," which drew on the album's concept. The group followed with a music video for the B-side "UPGRADE" on the afternoon of Sept. 8. The video captures the members' fluid movements, tightly synchronized choreography, and confident energy through dynamic camerawork.
The EP also posted several chart-topping results. At midnight on Aug. 25, all six tracks, including the title song, occupied the top six spots on Bugs' real-time chart. The album also reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts overseas, Circle Chart's daily retail album chart dated Aug. 24, and Hanteo Chart's daily album chart dated Aug. 25. Tomoya, Haru, and Hyui contributed to tracks on the album.
With domestic promotions complete, NEXZ is turning its attention to Latin America. The group will take the opening stage at Brazil's Rock in Rio festival on Sept. 11 local time. It is also set to perform at the new STRAYCITY festival in Bogotá, Colombia, on Sept. 9; Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Sept. 14 and 15; and Mexico City, Mexico, on Sept. 25 and 26.
NEXZ will then hold Seoul concerts for its first Asia tour, "NEXZ 1ST ASIA TOUR <SAUCIN' THE WORLD>," at Olympic Hall in Songpa district on Oct. 17 and 18. Further information, including ticket details, is available through the group's official social media channels.
