EVAN Hits 10 Million Views With "Death of Me" Ahead of Music Show Debut
EVAN's "Death of Me" music video has surpassed 10 million views on YouTube less than three days after its release.
According to BELIFT LAB on September 10, the music video for the title track of EVAN's first mini album "DEATH OF ME" crossed the 10 million mark on September 9, around 53 hours after its release.
Built around the dual meaning of "LIVE" as both being alive and performing live, the music video follows EVAN through settings that contrast restraint with impulse and danger with freedom before placing him under the lights for a performance-focused sequence.
The video debuted at No. 20 on YouTube's Daily Top Music Videos global chart before climbing 15 places to No. 5 as of September 8. It also entered the Top 10 of YouTube's daily music video rankings in nine countries and regions, including Singapore, Canada, Sweden, the U.K., the Philippines and Russia.
"Death of Me" has also appeared on music charts following its release. The track reached No. 1 on Bugs' real-time chart and No. 5 on Melon's HOT100 for songs released within the past 30 days.
"Death of Me" is a pop R&B track centered on moving forward from a new starting point without allowing outside forces to stand in the way.
EVAN will begin music show promotions for the single on Mnet's M Countdown on September 10.
