CRAVITY Announces September 30 Comeback With "sonorous"
CRAVITY is returning with its ninth mini album "sonorous" on September 30.
Starship Entertainment announced the comeback through a story film released on CRAVITY's official social media channels on September 10, revealing both the album title and release date.
The animated film opens with narration from Allen that appears to arrive through a radio signal before introducing a series of images built around waves and resonance. A Pegasus emerges from a chrysalis and creates ripples as it touches the ground, while another scene shows nine figures appearing as waves spread across a field.
The figures later disappear as someone follows the sound of instruments in search of them, leaving only the resonance behind. They eventually reappear elsewhere to create another set of waves, accompanied by a message suggesting that the world begins to resonate when a sound is able to travel farther.
The film ends with the waves expanding outward to reveal a new symbol logo, followed by a brief vocal repeating "sonorous."
Meaning a sound that is deep, rich and resonant, "sonorous" builds on a theme CRAVITY had already begun teasing through its social media accounts. Recent photos showed the members alongside objects including an acoustic guitar, xylophone, grand piano and swing, each depicting different forms of resonance.
The new mini album follows CRAVITY's eighth mini album ReDeFINE, which included title track "AWAKE."
"sonorous" will be released on September 30 at 6 p.m. KST, with additional comeback content set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
