BLACKPINK's Solo Run Sends Group to No. 1 on K-POPIT BOARD
BLACKPINK has climbed to the top of K-POPIT BOARD's Domestic Rise chart as Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo release new music within days of one another and Rosé prepares to follow.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, the K-POP analytics index, BLACKPINK ranked No. 1 on the Sept. 14 Domestic Rise chart with a Power Index (PWR_KR) score of 66.6. The group also placed No. 2 on the Global Rise chart with a Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 56.1. The Power Index combines data from music charts, social media activity and news coverage to measure an artist's overall momentum.
BLACKPINK also recorded a more than 999% jump in D-layer activity, which tracks how conversations spread beyond core fan communities. Its Momentum Score stood at 71.2, putting the group among this week's fastest-rising artists in South Korea, while its Media Attention Score reached 91.5.
The jump comes amid a packed stretch of solo releases from the members. Jennie started the recent run with "Less Than a Lover" in July, followed by her three-track EP "Fallen Angel" on Aug. 28. The earlier single debuted at No. 34 on Spotify's Global Daily chart with around 2.26 million streams and has since accumulated roughly 62 million.
Lisa followed on Sept. 3 with "SaWaDiKa," which debuted at No. 13 on Spotify's Global Daily chart with around 2.79 million streams. The song has accumulated about 25 million streams in less than two weeks and comes ahead of her six-track EP "Press Play," due Oct. 23.
Jisoo released "Click" a day later, marking the first single from her upcoming full-length album. The track debuted at No. 186 on Spotify's Global Daily chart, while Jisoo also showed strength in physical sales, topping Hanteo's weekly World and Album charts.
Rosé is next, with "New Trick" set for release Sept. 17. The song follows her first studio album "Rosie" and the global success of "APT.," her collaboration with Bruno Mars. Directed by Dave Meyers, the music video was shot entirely on the iPhone 18 Pro as part of Apple's "Shot on iPhone" campaign.
The back-to-back releases have kept BLACKPINK highly visible even without new group music. Three members released new material within a week, with Rosé now set to extend the run.
The more than 999% increase in D-layer activity shows that the attention is reaching beyond the members' core fandoms. Their overlapping solo schedules have also kept BLACKPINK in the wider online conversation at a time when each member is pursuing her own musical direction.
