The YouTube channel "Jeondosa," which has faced allegations of violating medical advertising laws, has postponed the release of an episode featuring K-pop girl group RESCENE.

In a notice posted on Sept. 15, the production team said the RESCENE episode, originally scheduled for release that day, would undergo an additional review. The channel will therefore take a one-week break from uploading new content.

Under the revised schedule, an episode featuring TREASURE will be released first on Sept. 22. The RESCENE episode will follow on Sept. 29, two weeks later than initially planned.

Earlier, "Jeondosa" uploaded a video on Sept. 1 titled "i-dle's Miyeon Gets Her First Health Checkup at 30: Was I Talking Nonsense?" The video showed Miyeon undergoing a general health screening and a sedated upper endoscopy.

The controversy began after a viewer filed a complaint with the Yongsan District Public Health Center in Seoul through the government's e-People petition portal on Sept. 7. Article 56 of South Korea's Medical Service Act prohibits anyone other than medical professionals or authorized medical institution representatives from advertising medical services.

On Sept. 8, the "Jeondosa" production team issued a statement denying any commercial ties to the clinic featured in the video. The producers said the medical institution had neither requested advertising, promotional coverage, or content production nor provided any payment.

The team also said it had taken corrective measures, including adding further blurring to parts of the footage.

The explanation, however, did not put the controversy to rest. The Yongsan District Public Health Center has since referred the case to police, with investigators now determining whether the video violated medical advertising laws.
