TWICE's Jihyo Explains Why She Wore Jeans at Waterbomb Kaohsiung 2026

TWICE member Jihyo has explained why she wore jeans on stage at a Waterbomb festival, breaking from the swimwear looks that usually define the event.

Jihyo headlined "Waterbomb Kaohsiung 2026" on Sept. 12 at Dream Mall in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

She took the stage in a silver top and washed-denim pants. Female artists at Waterbomb have typically performed in bikinis or swimsuits, so the denim look drew attention right away.

Local fans online had mixed reactions to the outfit. Some called it "the most covered-up look I've ever seen at Waterbomb," while others said, "The outfit aside, Jihyo's performance was really impressive."

Jihyo later addressed the styling on a fan communication platform. When one fan asked, "You're the first person I've seen wear jeans at Waterbomb. Wasn't it heavy?" she replied, "It was heavy, but it was my choice."
