Ahn Bo-hyun Faces Murder Charges in 'Flex X Cop 2' Finale Stretch

Actor Ahn Bo-hyun is steering his character through a sharp turn in the final stretch of "Flex X Cop 2." The SBS drama has two episodes left before it wraps, with the next installment airing on Sept. 18 at 9:50 p.m. KST.

Ahn Bo-hyun plays Jin Yi-soo, a third-generation chaebol heir who becomes a detective. In recent episodes, Jin was named a prime suspect in a murder case. His memory of the night in question is a blank, leaving him unable to piece together what happened. Old trauma surrounding the death of a childhood friend has also resurfaced. Scenes of Jin having nightmares and panic episodes inside a holding cell have played a major role in the drama's recent stretch.

His relationships with his fellow detectives have shifted along with the case. Framed and unsure of himself, Jin started to doubt his own innocence. Joo Hye-ra, played by Jung Eun-chae, stood by him. Team leader Ahn, played by Kim Gyeol, and the rest of Violent Crimes Team 2 also stepped in to help. Colleagues who kept Jin at arm's length early in the season have started treating him as one of their own.

His bond with Chairman Choi Jung-hoon, played by Kim Myung-soo, has stayed central to the story. Jin needles the chairman with jokes but leans on him all the same. When Choi faced removal from his post, Jin showed up at the Hansu Group board meeting. He took his seat as the company's largest shareholder and moved to protect the chairman.

Ahn Bo-hyun is showing two sides of Jin at once. There is the detective chasing down a case, and there is the man rattled by what he cannot remember from his past. The remaining episodes are set to reveal the truth behind the murder and how Jin's story will unfold.
