OH MY GIRL's Mimi Calls Out Rude Idol Greetings at Broadcast Stations

OH MY GIRL member Mimi is speaking up about a small but telling habit she has noticed among some of her fellow idols. On a recent web variety appearance, she said a number of artists she runs into at broadcast stations barely bother to greet others properly, and she is not a fan of it.

The comments came on the 80th episode of the web variety show "Yeongeopjung," posted on Sept. 24 on the YouTube channel "Sibicheung." In the episode, Mimi joined comedians Kwak Beom and Kim Ji-yoo for a conversation about dating and romance.

When Kwak asked whether she really had not liked anyone since age 17, Mimi answered, "Not a single person."

The talk then shifted to the other singers she meets through TV work. "When you go to broadcast stations, there are a lot of idols and singers around," Mimi said. "And sometimes there are people who act stuck-up." She then acted out what she meant, tilting her head in a quick nod while barely looking at the other person.

Mimi was open about how much the habit bothers her. "Whether they're interested in me or not, just seeing someone greet people like that makes me angry," she said. "If they're polite, I greet them warmly too. If you're going to say hi, this is how you should do it."

Kim Ji-yoo agreed with her. "People really do that these days. She's right," Kim said.
